Your squares need to be 8 x 8. I measured my quilt ....totally forgetting about the seams :) If anyone has cut their fabric let me know. Since it's only been a few hours I hope we're okay!
One more note....if you want to make a Quilt (like the butterfly one) ....with these swaps. It takes 80 of them to make a full size quilt. If you swap 10 or 20 or even 30 at Convention....you can return home and make the rest of them with fabric of your choice. Don't let them numbers scare you I made 35 of them in about 4 hours.
Stay tuned......I'm working on instructions and a video this week.

Angie - I love this idea and the simplicity of it. I have a suggestion - I would love to particpate and have this be like a friendship quilt. To keep it super-simple, maybe we could each sign our blocks in smallish script right next to one of the petals using a Pigma Micron marker. Adding a dash and then the city and state where we're from would be cool too.
Of course, I will go with the group here, but I wanted to make the suggestion. My mother has a friendship quilt that was made for my grandmother by friends when she moved away from the area, and they all stitched their signatures on their blocks -- what a treasure!
Please count me in. Oh, one other question - I suppose it doesn't matter if we use different patterns for our flowers as long as the fabrics are quilting quality and go with ivory, right? This is a great way to use up scraps!
And a last comment (sorry to be so wordy) - I have a tote bag made out of your new wild birdy fabric plus two other fabrics. If you like, I can send you a photo of it. I use it as a knitting bag.
