Flower Quilt

Doesn't it look beautiful? I'm so excited I could scream :)
All I need to do is add the batting, the backing and the binding....I'm almost done :)

Don't look too close..... I still need to trim the thread :)
Quick question.....do I wash it now or later?  I guess I better go google it.

Ladies, if you signed up the Quilt Block Swap....this is how your blocks will look when you sew them together.

See ya,

question? are the flowers edges a raw edge or have you sewn them wrong sides together, left a slit and turned them and then sewn up the "hole"? Either way, BEAUTIFUL!

Oh it's gorgeous! Wash it after you're all done if you do it now everything will fray, and then the backing, and batting could shrink differently once they are put on. On my quilts I always use 100% cotton with cotton batting, the final product shrinks a bit but I like the look it gives my quilts. Are you going to tie it or machine quilt it? I haven't decided if I'm going to convention or not, but you're making it really hard for me to say no!

I love it! I wish we would have one group with 80 people in the swap so we can all go home and finish them right away! (I know that's not practical).

I am pretty sure that all fabrics is supposed to be washed before using or cutting so that it will shrink and not riun the project. Some fabric shrinks more than others so hopefully the front does'nt shrink more than the back . If you have'nt washed any of it then it might be better to wash after it is all finished. Next time wash all fabric that is going to be used before doing anything with it.

I think you will just go bonkers once you have someone machine quilt it for....That is where the two compliment each other so well and can really bring out even more beauty in the quilt. It looks darling! I would go with some fantastic color for the back...possibly even piece together several bright colors that are the same as some of the floers or compliment them! Just a suggestion...take it or leave it...smile!
