Eighty Block Quilt

Guess what?
I just got my quilt back from the Quilters :)
Yes, I'm grinning from ear to ear and eager to show someone!
That is why a blog works for me..... my only family in Kansas is Dave & my children.... if I were in Tennessee I'd scream for my sisters to come see!!

You all get to be the first to see it...I hope you like it as much as I do!!
Here's another picture :)
Here's a picture of my darling label....Veronica did an awesome job  creating this for me!!
I had a hard time deciding....two posts or one big one....I'm going with one big one :)
We went to the lakehouse over the weekend and my electronics did not work (could not get a signal to save my life)..... so I made 160 Quilt Blocks and ......I made a Eighty Block Throw (although it's not 80 blocks but that's the name).
They almost look the same....the Throw is smaller but the blocks are bigger.  These are 8 x 8 blocks and the first one has 7" blocks.  I decided I liked the 8" better.  Now I'm going to make another :)

My last picture is of Sissy.....I just had to share it!  Every time I take my quilts or purses outside to photograph them she has to be right there with me.  I'm going to start calling her my mascot.
 Have a great day!!

Love it! You did an awesome job! Guess what I want to make now??? lol How did you get the flower design on the quilt? Not the die cut but the one actualy sewn onto the quilt? I have a very basic sewing machine, not a quilting machine, can I still achieve this project?

OMG! That quilt is beautiful. You did a great job.You can start your own line of handmade quilts now. You should try to make pillow shams to match.

you did a great job and your quilt is fab, i love how the quilting has echoed the shape of the flower die cuts.

it was your sewing projects that got be back into sewing after a 30yr break so thank you.

ive made a couple of bags and am doing a table runner at the moment, so i am starting small but now ive seen your quilt i may have to add it to my list of 'projects' to do'

keep coming up with the inspiration and videos i learn far better by watching than reading instructions

thank you

It's beautiful Angie! No one would ever know that was your first quilt. I LOVE it - and your choices of fabric! I am not a sewer but do have a basic machine. I am very much inspired to start quilting because of you - I think I need to start with a fun rag quilt purse to get enough "guts" to try a full quilt. I love your blogs - all of them - and your projects. Thanks so much!

You are becoming quite the sewing lady! Very pretty. Like the look of the scattered flowers, and not too busy.

You did an awesome job. I wasn't able to picture it when you said you were going to be using the white/cream for the background block. I thought it may be a little blah but boy oh boy was I wrong! ;) It looks terrific! You will need to share your source for the long arm quilting, she coordinated the stitching perfectly. I just love it!

Beautiful quilt!!! Such pretty fabric. You are so talented. I think if I started another hobby I would have to quit my day job, there is just not enough hours in the night (after work) to do everything :) plus I need my day job to pay for my hobbies :)

Your quilt is stunning. You are one talented lady. I've always wanted to make a quilt, perhaps you have inspired me to do just that!

Congratulations!!! It looks wonderful, your quilter did a really nice job with the flower quilting I love it! All the gals doing the swap at convention are sooooo lucky! I hope at some point your business will slow down a bit so you can give quilting a whirl, I know it takes a lot of time, but I know you'd be great at it too you have such a great eye for design. It's addictive too, just like the piecing part ;)

This is beautiful! I love how simple it is with the colored flowers against the white background. It's so cheerful and it just makes me happy to look at it. Great job, and thank you for inspiring me to give it a try, too!

Beautiful quilt and I love all the colors of the fabrics you chose. How did you attach the flowers to the quilt squares? I am really looking forward to your video on these quilts. Thanks for all you share.
