Birdie Purse

What can I say?

I'm hooked on making purses!!

I made this purse using eight 5" squares.

I'm in the process of tweaking it so I can use the scallop square die to cut the fabric.

I'm pretty sure the handles should be placed under the ruffle :O

I've never sewn before September ....... I'm thrilled with my results!!

Here's a few more pictures .....

Oh, what a super, duper, pink purse. I LOVE it! Love the ruffle. You have gotten so good since you started, you can see the improvement. I think that you are on your way to something big here. Is the purse a gift? What a wonderful gift it will make. Have a wonderful day!

Love the purse...super cute. You got me into making purses. I started sewing in March of 09 and had only made pillows and paper crafts. But when I saw a rag quilt and your rag purse I delved in and made 2 of them so far(squared not with the scallop square.) I'm giving some for Christmas. Thanks for the motivation!

Angie, I can't believe you've only been sewing such a short time! You are doing a great job. I've been sewing a long time and avoid ruffles at all costs. thanks for sharing
